What is Apostille?

Apostille is a document approval system that allows the authenticity of a document to be certified and used officially in another country. The document that has been certified by the apostille is accepted as a valid document in all the member and party states of the Hague Conference. How to Get a Document Apostilled in Antalya?

First, you need to translate your documents into Turkish by a sworn translator and this documents need to be notarized by a Turkish notary public. Second, After the approval process, the governorship where the notary public is located can request an Apostille showing the validity of the signature and seal. Third, If you have an apostilled document from a different country, you must have this document translated in Turkey. Authorities that put an Apostille annotation in Turkey are: Governorships, directors of legal affairs, district governorships and the justice commission, which is an institution of aggravated felony courts.

Can I Get My Document Apostilled From My Consulate?

Consulates and embassies are not authorized to apostille annotation for official Turkish documents; however, if your country is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, you need to ask your Consulate to get apostille annotation on your documents.
